Sour LEMONADE &
Bizarre PROMENADE
Hiromi SUZKUKI
A Hollywood Finch in wine coloured tie is hopping frightened by the wink.
It’s an eye in the illuminated signboard
of the ophthalmic hospital in the sudden rain at dusk.
Are you crying?
He takes pity on an eye which falls the raindrops.
Are you sleepy?
He asks an eye if the flickering signboard will break down.
Will you disappear as well?
A Hollywood Finch is fading out into the drizzle, invisible.
At dawn, an eye will melt into the daylight, dazzle also a puddle.
